MHA Horsemanship Clinic Series

As equestrians, it’s our duty & responsibility to our horses to understand basic horsemanship skills, for safety and horse welfare. These clinics are a fun and welcoming way to develop those skills!

  • April 12 - Clinic #1: Equine First Aid (10am-12pm) @ Skyline Ranch

    • Learn to take your horses vital signs, spot signs of distress and treat simple wounds. Get guidance on when to call a vet and when to treat on your own. You owe it to your equine partner to master these critical skills.

  • May 24 - Clinic #2: Trailering w/Jackie Martin-Castro & Jahi Bickham (10am-12pm) @ Skyline Ranch

    • Does your horse know how to load safely in an emergency? Are you ready if you are called upon to assist with an evacuation? Learn skills that can make the difference in a fire or other emergency.

  • July 19 - Clinic #3: Intro to Groundwork w/Jahi Bickam @ Sequoia Arena

    • Just doing a couple minutes of groundwork per day can make a huge difference in your partnership and the quality of your ride. Groundwork is a magic key to better, safer rides, and helping to build your horse’s strength or recover from an injury.

  • August 16 - Clinic #4: Staying Safe(r) On The Trails w/Wendy Clark and Rachel Royce  @ Sequoia Arena

    • We are surrounded by incredible trails, but our local equestrians have experienced dangerous and challenging situations out there. Learn from a couple of total trail bosses how to avoid, prevent, and react to challenges out there, so you and your horse can enjoy safe and beautiful rides.

Clinic suggested price is $60 per clinic, $200 for all 4 clinics. However, no one will be turned away due to lack of funds! Contact us directly if you need assistance in paying.
