General Information & Rules
• By participating in this show, you declare that your horse has been in good health, with body temperature below 101° F, eating normally, and has not shown signs of infectious disease for 3 days preceding this event.
• Sequoia Arena is located in the Oakland Hills in Joaquin Miller Park, and is surrounded by pine trees. The climate is almost always temperate; it can be foggy. The arena is standard with sand and dirt and the warm-up area is sand and dirt. There are bleachers next to the arena.
• Show begins at 9:00. The main arena opens at 8:00 for warm up.
• Awards: Ribbons 1st through 5th, prize to 1st in classes with three or more horses.
• This show is being held to support the activities of MHA and the stewardship of Sequoia Arena. MHA Membership is required to compete—or you may choose to pay a non-member fee of $15/day.
• Informal (but neat and clean) attire. ASTM-SEI approved helmet and riding boots (tall or short) are required at all times for mounted riders.
• Trailer parking is amidst the Redwood trees. We will have parking assistance for you. Please be sure to park close to (but at a safe distance from!) other rigs so that there is room for everyone.
• Bring your own water buckets! Due to health risks, we will not have a community water trough. Water and a hose will be available. • Food and beverages will be available for sale.
• Scratches refunded with certificate from doctor/veterinarian.
• This is a City of Oakland Park; please conduct yourself accordingly. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
• USDF Dressage will be ridden in the Standard Court. Eventing Dressage will be ridden in the Short Court. Leadline will be ridden in the Short Court.
• This show will be governed by USDF and USEF. Please contact us if you have special needs.

Entry Deadline: April 25. Be advised that any entries received after that date may result in a $10 late fee. Refund for cancellations until deadline. After deadline: vet or doctor’s certificate or fill space for refunds. $10 fee for refunds. $25 fee for returned checks. No post entries.
Show will close early if oversubscribed. One ride per class per horse/rider combination, except for classes 22 and 23. Management reserves the right to limit the number of tests ridden, and to cancel, combine, or divide classes if entries warrant.
